Important changes have been made to the way users access email.  Please read the information below on how these changes will affect you.  Changes will be made until all projects are completed, which is scheduled for Janurary 5th.  Once completed this page will still exist, but will contain information and procedures on how to access your email using different methods (mobile phones, laptops, etc).

Logging Into Webmail

  • The address to login to webmail is https://mail.princeave.org/owa.  When prompted for your username, you will need to precede your username with "pacs\" or "pabc\".  For the password, use the same one as you use when logging into your computer.

1/2/10 - Changes for Mobile Phones

  • If you have access to email from your mobile phone, you will need to change a few things on your phone.  Please follow the procedures below for your phone to make the necessary changes.  If you have any problems even after your reconfigure your phone, please contact us by using one of the methods listed at the end of this document.
    • BlackBerry (Some steps may vary depending on the model you have.  Try to follow the general flow of the instructions and contact us if you are unable to update your account.) 
      • Open "BlackBerry Setup" from the Home Screen
      • Open "Personal Email Setup"
      • Edit your existing account (it will probably be listed as invalid).
      • Check to make sure your username includes "pabc\" or "pacs\" before your actual username.  If it does not, change it.  If you are unable to change it, you will need to delete this account and re-create it.  Please use the steps near the bottom of this page to re-setup the account.
      • Scroll down and select "Advanced Settings". The first option should display a URL. Be sure to set this to "https://mail.princeave.org/owa" (without quotes).
      • Save all changes. You're done!
    • iPhone
      • Open "Settings" from the Home Screen
      • Open "Mail, Contacts, Calendar"
      • Select your email account
      • Select "Account Info"
      • Select the "Domain" field and type "pabc.princeave.local" or "pacs.princeave.local" (without the quotes)
      • Press Return
      • Select your account name in the top left-hand corner of the screen
      • Press the "Home" button at the bottom of your phone
      • That's it!
    • Windows Mobile
      • Install the new security certificate for your phone.  Use the address below that corresponds to your version of the Windows Mobile Operating System.  You will need to enter the address into Internet Explorer on your phone EXACTLY as it appears below.  If you are unsure of the version, click Start->Settings->About.  On this screen you see a line indicating the version of Windows Mobile on your phone. 
      • Start->Programs->ActiveSync
      • Press Menu->Configure Server
      • You will need to change your username to include "pabc\" or "pacs\" (ex: pabc\jsmith)
      • Press "Sync".  If you receive any error messages at this point, please contact us using one of the methods listed at the end of this document.
      • That's it!

New Mobile Phone Setup

  • To send and receive emails from your phone, please follow the procedures below for your type of phone:
    • BlackBerry (Some steps may vary depending on the model you have.  Try to follow the general flow of the instructions and contact us if you are unable to setup your account.) 
      • Open "BlackBerry Setup" from the Home Screen
      • Open "Personal Email Setup"
      • Select "Add my existing account"
      • Enter your email address and password.  Your password is the same that you use to login to your PACS or PABC computer.
      • Click "Next".
      • You should get an error message that reports that the Blackberry was unable to configure the account.  Select the option for "I will provide the settings to add..."
      • Re-enter your password and select "Next".
      • Select "Outlook Web Acccess" and select "Next".
      • For the "Outlook Web Access URL" enter:
        https://mail.princeave.org/owa
      • For "User name" enter your network username, preceded by "pabc\" or "pacs\" depending on your location.  If your username is jsmith and you are a PACS user, you would enter "pacs\jsmith" (without quotes).  Be sure to use a "\" (backslash) and not a "/" (forward slash).  You may have to use the Symbol button on your keyboard.
      • Re-enter your password if necessary.
      • Verify that your email address is still correct.  If not, please correct it.
      • For "Mailbox name" simply enter the first part of your email address.  jsmith@princeave.org would be just jsmith.
      • Select "Next".
      • You should now receive a message indicating that the email account has been successfully added.  If you receive any error messages, please retry adding the account once more, ensuring that all of the values are correct.  If you are still unable to add the account, please contact someone using one of the methods provided at the end of this document 
    • iPhone
      • Open "Settings" from the Home Screen
      • Open "Mail, Contacts, Calendar"
      • If this is the first account you are setting up on your phone, select "Microsoft Exchange".  If you have other accounts already, select "Add Account" and then "Microsoft Exchange".
      • Enter your email address in the field labeled "Email".
      • Enter one of the following values for "Domain" depending on your email address:
        • pabc.org: Enter "pabc.princeave.local"
        • princeave.org: Enter "pacs.princeave.local"
      • Enter your username in the field labeled "Username".  This is same username that you use to login to the PACS or PABC network.
      • Enter your password in the field labeled "Password".  Again, this is the same password that you use to login to the PACS or PABC network.
      • Select "Next" in the top right hand corner of the screen.
      • Select "Accept" at any "Unable to Verify Certificate" prompts.
      • Select "Next" in the top right hand corner of the screen.
      • Enable or disable synchronization of Mail, Contacts, or Calendar.
      • Select "Done" in the top right hand corder of the screen.
      • If you have any contacts or calendar items on your phone, you may be given a choice on how you would like to handle these.  Be careful when selecting the option to either overwrite the data on your phone or on the server.  This data may not be recoverable.
      • Push the "Home" button at the bottom of your phone
      • That's it!  You're done 
    • Windows Mobile
      • Install the new security certificate for your phone.  Use the address below that corresponds to your version of the Windows Mobile Operating System.  You will need to enter the address into Internet Explorer on your phone EXACTLY as it appears below.  If you are unsure of the version, click Start->Settings->About.  On this screen you see a line indicating the version of Windows Mobile on your phone. 
      • Start->Programs->ActiveSync
      • Press Menu->Add Server Source
      • Server name is "mail.princeave.org" (without quotes)
      • Enter your username as you do when you login to your PACS or PABC computer, but precede it with either "pacs\" or "pabc\", depending on your location.
      • Press "Sync".  If you receive any error messages at this point, please contact us using one of the methods listed at the end of this document.
      • That's it!
